by | Dec 27, 2022 | Restaurant

Laura has worked in restaurants for more than half her life. After earning a degree in Health Information Technology, and a short stint behind a desk, Laura returned to the service industry in June 2021 as a server at Kendall’s. Laura is an incredibly committed and dedicated employee who values longevity in the workplace. Recently, Laura was promoted to Restaurant Manager at Kendall’s, due in part to this commitment to hospitality and her natural ability to lead. On her days off, Lauran enjoys binge watching reality television, reading murder mysteries, and spending time with her friends and loved ones.

Q & A: What is the best part of working at Kendall’s??

The best part of working here are the people I work with. There is never a dull day and I think we all respect each other – it makes working here very enjoyable.

What do you look for when you go out to eat?

A good atmosphere is the most important thing to me. I’m not a super picky eater, so somewhere that has a nice ambiance are the places I gravitate toward.

If you could have a meal with anyone, who would it be and why?

Leonardo Dicaprio. I have loved him since I was in 4th grade and saw Titanic in theatres probably 5 times. He just seems like he would have some very interesting stories to tell.

What was your least favorite food as a child? Do you still hate it, or do you love it now?

Broccoli! Hands down! Still hate it to this day and that will never change. The smell, the taste, the texture…all around a no-go for me.

Dessert or night cap:

I’m not a HUGE sweets person, but I love cheesecake and ice cream. Whenever my boyfriend and I are together, we end the night with a bowl of ice cream.

Favorite Cocktail, Beer or Wine:

As I’ve gotten older, I no longer drink beer. My go-to would be a glass of wine. I have started to get more into reds during the winter, but I prefer sauvignon blanc over everything.

What was the worst style choice you ever made?

Anything from 2002-2010. I see pictures of the belts, the pants, the jewelry…none of it was a good style choice.
