Answer: Innovative concrete solutions is a company that applies decorative concrete coatings to enhance the look, this is a good alternative to not having to tear out and repour new concrete. We are located in Folsom
Questions: Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
Answer: I got started in the concrete industry over a decade ago which led into the decorative concrete coatings industry, the ability to customize any project and enhance the look of a concrete substrate without having to re pour new concrete was what originally sparked my interest in this application.
Questions: What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
Answer: I learned shortly that there were many inadequate products being sold in this industry, which gave me an interest in finding a better solution.
Questions: What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Answer: My advice to all intrapreneurs is not to give up just because problems occur, you need to be in it for the long haul and don’t get discouraged when things do not work out. You need to learn from failures ultimately and look at failures as a step closer to success. Don’t surround yourself with negative people
Questions: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Answer: I believe the key ingredients for success, taking action, belief in yourself, and the ability to solve problems.
Questions: To what do you most attribute your success?
Answer: My success is from sticking with my industry long enough to be the best at it. Since we also develop our products from a raw material to an actual usable product I see our company selling decorative concrete products in over 200 contractor supply warehouses within the next 5 years, with hundreds of people using our products.
Questions: How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
Answer: Success for me is creating value in people’s lives from a good product or service and making a lot of money doing it, and not having to answer to anyone. For me, making money is not the key, it’s all about your service to others and if you keep others in mind always when creating a product or service you will win financially too.
Questions: What is the best way to achieve long-term success?
Answer: Entrepreneurs have an unlimited mindset when it comes to achieving things compared to an employee mindset, they do not like to work to make others rich they would rather sacrifice now to benefit the future instead of getting a quick return.
Questions: Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?
Answer: My life as an entrepreneur is great these days because being 32 years old I am in the prime years of my craft with much progress being made with a good return, not to mention making my own schedule and not having to answer to anyone.
