Chuck’s Air Conditioning started in 1984, by Chuck & Eunice Wilks. Eunice had worked at AT&T, and was let go in the shake up from AT&T and south westeren bell. Chuck had worked 4 years at an supply warehouse serving the HVAC industry. Chuck was tired of the tech’s coming in and asking the warehouse guys how to repair a ac unit. When Eunice was laid off, she received a severance package of 4,000.00. With that, Chuck and Eunice, bought a work truck, tools, and advertising.  The hours, and work was exhausting in the beginning. But eventually, the hard work paid off. Now over 34 years later, Matthew, the oldest son, has taken charge, and over sees all the field work. We believe that treating the customer like we treat our friends, is the only way to do business.

What have you found to be the most effective form of marketing your business?
We have found in the 34 years, that word of mouth, is the best form of advertising. No one wants to spend hundreds of dollars on anything that does not bring pleasure. Least of all a mechanical home appliance. But when you have to, you want to make sure that you can trust the person, and company doing the work. It is horrible to have your a/c go out in August. But even worse is paying to have it fixed, then it breaks again, and the company wants even more money to fix yet more issues. We show you everything that we find on your unit. Then give you our promise that nothing else should go wrong, or we don’t charge to come back. That’s what I expect as a home owner, and we treat you the same way.
