Questions:
- Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.
I started this business to move away from the “traditional healthcare system” we see today. My goal was to truly connect with my patients, take the time to listen, and help them address the root causes of their health concerns. I wanted to focus on alternative and functional medicine that emphasizes lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, and gut health.
Healing begins from within. When we use what God has naturally provided — nourishing foods, plants, sunlight, prayer, and rest we allow the body to restore balance and heal itself. Of course, medications have their place, but they shouldn’t always be a lifelong solution.
At EMerge Beauty & Wellness, we merge functional medicine with advanced aesthetics to help our clients feel as good as they look. We offer IV vitamin therapy for energy, immunity, and overall wellness — including our signature Timeless IV, formulated to support cellular repair and slow the visible signs of aging.
To complement internal wellness, we provide vitamin and NAD+ injections that support mitochondrial function, boost energy, and enhance mental clarity. Red light therapy is another favorite it improves cellular repair, circulation, and collagen production, benefiting both overall wellness and skin rejuvenation.
I’ve also always had a passion for beauty. Having struggled with acne myself, I want my clients to feel confident in their skin while improving their overall wellness and gut health.
I believe everyone is beautiful in their own unique way — and that aging gracefully is something to be celebrated, not feared. We offer microchanneling with growth factors to stimulate collagen and elastin for firmer, smoother skin, chemical peels to brighten, smooth, and refine texture, HydraFacials to deeply cleanse and rejuvenate the skin, and Oxygen facials to help with acne and rosacea, while also stimulating collagen production for a more radiant, firm, and youthful appearance.
We proudly carry Alastin and Circadia professional skincare products, including the luxurious Firming Peptide Facial by Circadia, which delivers instant lifting, hydration, and anti-aging benefits.
For body and wellness, we also provide Endospheres therapy, a cutting-edge lymphatic drainage treatment that detoxifies, tones, and improves circulation. Additionally, we offer laser hair removal and other noninvasive treatments designed to enhance confidence and promote overall well-being.
This business was created to merge beauty and wellness — because you truly can have the best of both worlds.
EMerge Beauty & Wellness is located in Chicago, IL.
- Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
I was born in Romania and came to the United States with my parents in pursuit of the American dream — to strive for something bigger. Growing up, I watched my parents work tirelessly at different jobs to make a living while navigating the challenges of a new language and culture. Their perseverance taught me the value of hard work and the importance of education. I’m proud to be the first college graduate in my family, continuing the journey they began toward building a better future.
My journey began when I cared for my grandmother, who had several chronic health conditions. I accompanied her to every appointment — primary care, cardiology, nephrology — and I noticed how little time providers had to truly listen. I wanted to change that.
Watching nurses care for her inspired me to enter the medical field. I became a nurse, and later a nurse practitioner, to spend more meaningful time with patients — sometimes an hour or more per visit — so I can fully understand their story and guide them with both traditional and holistic care.
While I do prescribe medications when necessary, I focus strongly on preventive and functional medicine. My approach includes comprehensive lab work and lifestyle interventions to identify underlying imbalances before they develop into disease.
- What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
My grandmother was my greatest inspiration. Her experience with the healthcare system showed me the need for a more compassionate, holistic approach. I wanted to build something different — a space where patients are truly heard and healing is approached from every angle.
- How many hours do you work a day on average?
On average, I work about 8–10 hours per day. Beyond patient care, I spend a lot of time researching, reviewing charts, and finding new ways to optimize my patients’ health. I also make it a priority to balance my professional life with family time, cherishing every moment with my husband and our energetic 3-year-old son. They keep me grounded and remind me why I’m so passionate about what I do.
- To what do you most attribute your success?
My success comes from authenticity and compassion. I listen to every patient’s concerns, follow up consistently, and treat each person as if they were part of my own family. If I don’t have an immediate answer, I’m honest — and I’ll find the right resources or collaborate with specialists to help them.
- How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
Most of my growth has come through word of mouth and social media — primarily Facebook and Instagram. I’m also now partnering with a marketing agency to help expand awareness of my services.
- What is the best way to achieve long-term success?
Long-term success comes from trust, continuous learning, and a strong support system. Staying committed to your mission and building genuine relationships with patients creates lasting impact.
- Where do you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?
I hope to see EMerge Beauty & Wellness continue to grow — reaching more people and expanding our integrative offerings. My vision is to build a destination where timeless beauty meets inner healing — offering innovative therapies that support longevity, skin health, and overall vitality. I want my patients to feel that slowing down the aging process is not about chasing perfection, but about honoring themselves, inside and out.
- What kind of culture exists in your organization? How did you establish this tone and why did you institute this culture?
I was born in Romania, where I learned the value of hard work and resilience. I was raised by two strong women — my grandmother and my mother —and my father who worked multiple jobs while caring for their families. Their example shaped my work ethic and the culture I built: one based on compassion, integrity, dedication, and self care.
I encourage my team to model the same balance we teach our clients — nurturing wellness from the inside while embracing self-confidence and beauty on the outside.
- How do you define success?
Success is earned through hard work, persistence, and purpose. It’s about striving to be the best version of yourself every day — learning, growing, and improving without comparison to others.
- How do you build a successful customer base?
Through trust, empathy, and results. When patients feel seen, heard, and cared for, they naturally share their experiences with others. That’s how most new patients find me.
- How important have good employees been to your success?
Extremely important. A strong, supportive team ensures that every patient feels valued. I believe in hiring people who share my mindset and commitment to going above and beyond for our patients. At my medspa, I emphasize those same values — dedication, continuous learning, and personal growth. I believe it’s important for every team member to feel inspired to keep learning, evolving, and striving for excellence, not only for the success of our patients but also for their own professional development.
- If you were conducting this interview, what question would you ask?
I would ask 3 things:
What is something unique that makes you different from anyone else in this world?
What is one thing you would change about yourself to become a better version of you?
Who is your support system?
- Is there anything else you think we should know?
My biggest motivation comes from my husband and my 3-year-old son. They bring joy, balance, and purpose to everything I do — and they remind me daily why I chose this path.
