Q.1 Give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.

Ans. Cedar Physical Therapy and Wellness is a mobile, concierge physical therapy practice. Dr. Jennifer Melancon, PT, DPT is located in Dallas, TX and serves the Dallas to McKinney, TX areas. CPTW educates, restores and empowers clients after trauma, injury or surgery. Dr. Jen’s specialty is scar treatment and brain-muscle re-balancing to provide optimal movement and function.

Q.2 Give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).

Ans. Graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in Exercise Science, and The University of South Alabama in 2012 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Dr. Jen has worked in multiple settings and with children, athletes, and adults throughout her career as a student athletic trainer and a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Q.3 What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?

Ans. God led me to start Cedar Physical Therapy and Wellness in 2019. After a culmination of various experiences, I desired to work with clients individually and provide the highest, uninterrupted level of service that I could. Mobile PT was a good entry way into the entrepreneur life; it allows me to bring great care to the client’s desired treatment location. I am passionate about helping people recover from scar trauma acutely after a surgery or years. Treating a scar/scars can be the missing link to helping someone get out of pain or move better. I love working with each client and their body to figure out the puzzle about how their brain is choosing to move them.
