Q. 1 Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.
Ans:- We are a family dental practice that provides all phases of dentistry including implants, cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign.
Q. 2 Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
Ans:- I graduated from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, a top 6 dental school in the U.S. After graduation I worked as an associate at a couple of different dental offices where I learned a lot clinically. In June of 2009, Credit River Dental Centre was opened in Port Credit.
Q. 3 What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
Ans:- As an associate dentist you have very little say in terms of making office decisions such as materials, work hours and staffing. I wanted to have an office where I could make my vision a reality.
Q. 4 What three pieces of advice would you give to a dentist?
Ans:- Dentistry like many health care fields is constantly evolving, so take as much continuing education as you possibly can.
Q. 5 What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful dentist?
Ans:- Wow, there are so many skills that are needed that it’s hard to stick to just 3. I would say, in no particular order 3 of important skills would be:
1) Honesty and Integrity
2) A strong desire to learn
3) Good communication skills
But there are definitely a lot more!
Q. 6 How many hours do you work a day on average?
Ans:- I usually work about 50 hours a week. So that works out to about 8 and a half hours a day, 6 days a week.
