Dr. Justin Waters is originally from AZ. Attended undergraduate in NM and then moved back to AZ for dental school. Dr. Waters attended dental school at Midwestern College of Dental Medicine in Glendale AZ.

What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (make significant changes in an existing business)?

I decided to get my own office after working as an associate at other dental practices. I was seeing the business side of running a practice, and then decided it was something that I could try doing for myself.

How did the idea for your business come about?

I bought a running dental practice, but I want to elevate the quality and the customer service that provides.

Who has been your greatest inspiration?

Dr. William Fulcher and Dr. Kent Tuttle.

What makes you different from other businesses in your industry?

Having a patient-centered approach, and treating people with dignity and kindness. I have many of my patients explain that this is what makes Serenity Smiles so different.

To what do you most attribute your success?

I attribute the team that I work with to my success. Without a great team of people working in my practice, I would not have had any success.

What do you think is the best way to achieve long-term success in business?

Being fair and honest with people.

What are your overall thoughts on your industry? Any advice you could give people about your industry?

Dentistry is becoming overrun by corporations which makes it difficult for dentists to own their own businesses. I believe that private practicing dentists should start to find individuals to sell their practices to rather than letting corporations take over.
