Q – Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
I grew up in Fargo, ND. I went to college there, then moving to Minneapolis after my first degree in business. After managing retail stores for years I went back to college where I received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State University. In 2008 I entered into home improvements then grew into an Exteriors specialist. Since then I grew quickly between several companies that served dozens of training programs, conferences, semaniars, trade shows, speaking, managing, training, and 10Xing my business which I achieved, Top sales for 7 years. In 2018 I started a Real estate holding company where flipping homes grew quickly into owning and operating Commercial properties.
Q – What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
I’ve been a business owner for years before starting Honest Exteriors so the process was smoother than one starting from scratch. The motivation of starting Honest Exteriors came from all the experiences and wanting change in the right direction to better serve clients and homeowners. I really enjoy working for these companies. I’ve seen the good, bad, and the ugly dark side of the industry. I’ve seen everything from insurance carriers committing bad faith claims all the way to people committing insurance fraud, stealing, and greed.
These experiences have given me the motivation to create a company that offers piece of mind and transparency to our clients. We’re explaining facts to our clients that most contractors will not disclose or offer because they are more motivated by their margins and “winging it” mindset.
