Ans: After surviving a heart attack in 2004, I realized that statins (such as Lipitor) I was prescribed for 15 years prior to my heart attack did not do much. I then started searching for natural products that would help prevent future heart attacks, and reverse cardiovascular disease. Shortly after, I found resveratrol, which seemed to be very promising in preventing heart disease.
In 2006 I sold my businesses, including a restaurant in New York City, and devoted my time to research and experiment with resveratrol. Unlike statins, natural resveratrol proved to be very beneficial for myself. I was experimenting only with high purity resveratrol (trans-resveratrol), the beneficial compound in resveratrol. Until this day, when I routinely visit my cardiologist, he has only one thing to say: “I don’t know what you are doing, but whatever it is, keep doing it”.

Ans: Whatever it is you sell or create, make sure you love what you do. Thinking “big” is fine, but always start small with minimal risks and let your business grow.
You might think your product or service are great, but try testing your ideas before you make the investment, by asking other people and friends for their opinion, and even test advertising on a small scale.

Ans: Avoid risky start-up businesses.

Ans:
- Love what you do.
- Be realistic in expectations.

Ans: I believe in working smart, rather than working hard. I work about 2-4 hours a day, but think about the business and improvements 24/7.

Ans: As an entrepreneur I have seen ups and downs. Unnecessary high risks caused some of my businesses to fail which caused a huge financial burden on my family. On the other hand, my small risk start-ups turned out to be the most successful, which affected my family in positive ways, including my choice of time spending with my family.

Ans: I don’t look for ideas. If you are a little curious, and have a little imagination and pay a little attention to details, every day’s life experience will bring the ideas to you.

Ans: The thought of losing everything I have is my greatest fear. In order to manage my fear, I work smart and try to think positively.
