I started as a carpenter working on yachts in seattle, ran complex multi-family construction projects, owned and operated two contracting companies before purchasing Anasazi Door and entering the retail and manufacturing world.
3) What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
I developed a niche expertise and saw a need for better customer service and direction in the door world… when the opportunity to purchase a long-established custom door manufacturing business arose, I jumped at the chance to improve the industry regionally with goals to affect this industry on a national scale.

Since childhood I’ve wanted to own a custom wood shop.

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

We are mostly offer custom door design, wholesale door supplier, trim supplier, custom millwork and finishing stains.
13) What are your overall thoughts on your industry? Any advice you could give people about your industry?
Doors are very intricate. Choosing the right raw materials and hardware are key to a successful project. Proper prior planning in regards to sizing, layout, installation, and finishing are all very important and often overlooked steps in deciding what type of door to purchase and who to hire for installation. Also keep in mind that proper staging with regards to other trades is vital for the perfect execution of a door design and installation to ensure long lasting quality.

We frequently volunteer our expertise to churches, non-profits, and other organizations that help lift society to new heights.

When I received the phone call asking me if I’d be interested in purchasing Anasazi Door and being told I was the only person the past owner was willing to sell too.

A serious yet relaxed professional environment where you can crack jokes but also work extremely hard.
24) If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
I’ve never thought about this question before. I guess I’d try my hand at being a Captain on a private yacht or maybe an astronaut.
25) What is your greatest fear in business, and how do you manage fear?
My greatest concern in business is the state of our national economy. To cope with this fear, I find solace by entrusting it to prayer. I firmly believe that kneeling before God provides strength to stand firm in any challenging situation.

I chose Arizona because I have a deep appreciation for the state.
