As the main creator of KCL Creations, LLC. Koby has always had a dream of owning a form of a detail shop. Some things have changed over the years and evolved into different forms of a detailed facility. We focus more on exterior protection and correction than interior details. KCL Creations started with the services of automotive window tinting. I slowly transitioned into high-quality Automotive airbrushing. Which slowly led me to Paintless Dent Removal. Over time it has led me to where we are today.
What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
What led me to or inspired me to the idea of being a business owner? After spending so much time working for others and enjoying the times I spent in the garage doing my own thing as a hobby. I started growing bigger and bigger by word of mouth. When the 2008 housing crash hit and my job was terminated, I turned my hobbies into a day job and never looked back.
What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Nothing comes easy. Never get comfortable. always expect the unexpected.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Thick skin. Strong work ethic. A strong support system.

Work hard and never give up.

Working just as hard as ever to set a strong example for my Son.

How important have good employees been to your success?
Good employees are a major instrumental item in a successful business. However, the ability to let go and trust that they can do the job is just as important.

How do you define success?
Happiness on the face of the customer when they pick up their vehicle after getting the repairs done or the protective coatings applied. Their happiness is my success.
How do you build a successful customer base?
By being honest and respectful with them from step one.

Freedom
What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Teaching my Son the skills and craft.
What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
Entrepreneurs are stronger and more self-disciplined individuals.
What kind of culture exists in your organization? How did you establish this tone and why did you institute this particular type of culture?
Family. I hate it when you go to a repair facility and feel like just a number and you don’t matter. I want our customers to feel like their needs matter and their voice is heard.

If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
I would have started Paintless Dent Removal right out of high school rather than 10 years later.
What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?
Failure is my biggest fear. I never let myself get comfortable.

Yes
What are some of the biggest mistakes you’ve made?
I let myself get comfortable and lost a lot. I trusted the wrong people that had a different agenda than mine.
How can you prevent mistakes or do damage control?
I don’t let myself get comfortable anymore. I keep my circle small and keep things to myself.

Golf and spend time with my family
