Q. Kindly give our readers an introduction to your firm. Please include what your firm is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.

A. Our Tampa estate planning and asset protection services at The Greenberg Law Firm guide you through the complexities of estate planning, so that you – and your loved ones – are well-equipped for the future. We serve both the Greater Metropolitan Tampa and Chicago areas. Our services are offered by appointment only.

Q. Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or professional background, and list some of your major achievements).

A. I have been a practicing Attorney for 43 years, winning at the high court level, and am very proud of the benefts provided for my clients. As a U.S. Army veteran, I am equally proud to have served as an Intelligence Offcer with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam.

Q. What inspired you to start your frm? How did this idea come about?

A. My desire to continue helping people. After military service, I decided to return to school, studied law, and founded The Greenberg Law Firm.

Q. What three pieces of advice would you give to budding attorneys?

A. Study, study, and study.

Q. What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful attorney?

A.
1) Have compassion for your Clients; 2) Maintain knowledge of the law; and 3) Hone your analytical ability

Q. How many hours do you work a day on average?

A. It varies from day to day, depending on Client needs.

Q. To what do you most attribute your success?

A. My experienced professional Support Staff, who do incredible work every day.

Q. How do you go about marketing your frm? What has been your most successful form of marketing?

A. Use of our Google Business Profle, as well as other social media.

Q. Where did your organization’s funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?

A. This question doesn’t apply to us as a professional service. As a law frm, we don’t have investors.

Q. What is the best way to achieve long-term success?

A. In no particular order, as an estate planning Attorney it is vital to listen carefully, meet Client needs, and be available.

Q. Where do you see yourself and your frm in 5 – 10 years?

A. I hope to see myself continuing to serve the Greater Metropolitan Tampa area.

Q. Excluding your own, what company or business do you admire the most?

A. Apple.

Q. How important has having good employees been to your success?

A. It has been crucial for my success. Having dedicated employees assist with Client needs makes a world of a difference in day-to-day operations. The work they do is insurmountably important and can’t be replaced.

Q. How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?

A. Giving up is not an option.

Q. What motivates you?

A. Client gratitude.

A. My goal is to help people, and in doing so, Client gratitude and appreciation in the outcome of our professional services are always what defnes “success”.

Q. How do you build a successful client base?

A. It starts with having satisfed Clients, and continues with their longevity in partnering with us for their needs, as well as receiving referrals from current and past Clients.

Q. What is your favorite aspect of being an estate planning Attorney?

A. Helping Clients protect themselves, their families, and their legacies. So many people ask “Why do I need a Trust?”

Q. What has been your most satisfying moment practicing law?

A. Every time we conclude an Estate Plan, it is very satisfying for everyone named.

Q. What do you feel is the major difference between attorneys who own their own frm, and those who work for someone else?

A. I want to be absolutely sure that whatever I am doing is not only appropriate, but accurate. At the end of the day, it is imperative that I am 100% accurate in all that I do. I don’t have the luxury of a second opinion on how to approach a fle. It all falls on me, and since my name is on the door, it matters even more.

Q. What kind of culture exists in your frm? How did you establish this tone and why did you institute this particular type of culture?

A. Professional (as expected with any esteemed law frm), courteous, and collaborative. I have weekly meetings to review Client and administrative matters. This environment encourages both individual and team growth, allowing us to best serve our Clients.

Q. In one word, characterize your life as an attorney.

A. Fulflled.

Q. If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

A. Nothing.

Q. How has being an attorney affected your family life?

A. It has provided me the opportunities and ability to provide for my family in a comforting and gratifying way.

Q. What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?

A. There’s not much I fnd to be afraid of in life, but uncertain ideations among some world leaders does give one pause.

Q. How did you decide on the location for your services?

A. To start, my daughter lives and works in Tampa, so I am familiar with the area. Based on the growth of friends and prospective Clients in the Greater Metropolitan Tampa population, I have seen a direct need for Estate Planning and asset protection in this area. And, the general climate is nice!

Q. Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful attorney?

A. Yes; having diligence, study, and perseverance is a must.

Q. If you could talk to one person from history, who would it be and why?

A. My great-grandfather, who escaped Russia in the 19th century. I would love to learn more about my heritage by speaking with him.

Q. Who has been your greatest inspiration?

A. My Trusts & Estates law professor is probably my greatest inspiration, because of his teaching ability, insights, and the respect he commanded from his students.

Q. What book has inspired you the most? (OR what is your favorite book?)

A. I don’t know that I have one favorite book in particular, but I enjoy reading novels written by James Patterson, David Baldacci, and John Grisham.

Q. How can you prevent mistakes or do damage control?

A. With strong Staff support, and having many years of study & experience.

Q. What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?

A. I like to fsh, read, and spend time with my family & friends.

Q. What makes you happy?

A. My family, friends, and work.

Q. What sacrifces have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?

A. Early on in my career, I sacrifced a lot of time away from my family in order to handle various Client matters.
