1 – Q) Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.

A) Octivo is a cutting-edge digital learning company based in Melbourne, Australia. We specialise in designing, developing, and deploying modern, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences for organisations across industries. Our work is centred on creating tools and platforms that empower learning creators and educators to build world-class content and reach audiences globally. With our flagship products—Genesis (an authoring tool) and Cosmos (a publishing and community platform)—we’re redefining how digital learning is created and consumed.

2 – Q) Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).

A) My name is Lenny, and I’m the founder and CEO of Octivo and the TMRW Group. With over 15 years in digital learning and education technology, I’ve led the creation of immersive learning tools used by some of Australia’s largest organisations. My journey began in instructional design, but my entrepreneurial path was forged through a passion for creating transformative learning technologies. I’ve bootstrapped Octivo from the ground up, securing partnerships with key clients, and now stand on the cusp of significant expansion through upcoming investments.

3 – Q) What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?

A) Octivo was born out of frustration with clunky, outdated eLearning tools and a desire to create something more intuitive and empowering for creators. I saw a gap in the market for tools that allowed educators and coaches to build engaging, professional content without needing a developer or large budget. That gap led to Genesis, and then Cosmos—tools that bring world-class learning experiences into the hands of everyday creators.

4 – Q) What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?

A)

1. Start before you’re ready—perfection is the enemy of progress.
2. Know your ‘why’ and stay aligned with it—passion alone won’t carry you through, but purpose will.
3. Build for the long game—resilience and patience are as important as innovation.

5 – Q) What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

A) Vision, adaptability, and leadership. Being able to see beyond the present, pivot when needed, and inspire others to follow you are essential traits.

6 – Q) How many hours do you work a day on average?

A) On average, 10 to 12 hours. That said, when you love what you do, it doesn’t always feel like work.

7 – Q) To what do you most attribute your success?

A) Persistence. There were countless times I could’ve given up, but the belief in the mission and the impact we could make in education kept me going.

8 – Q) How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?

A) Our most effective marketing has come from authentic storytelling—whether it’s through detailed case studies, video explainers, or founder-led thought leadership. We also focus heavily on partnerships with organisations that align with our values and goals.

9 – Q) Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?

A) We bootstrapped Octivo for over six years, with funding from my own investments, including crypto and profits from past ventures. We’re now preparing for a seed investment round, focused on scaling our platforms and global reach.

10 – Q) What is the best way to achieve long-term success?

A) Build with integrity, listen to your users, and constantly evolve. Long-term success is a product of consistency, not overnight wins.

11 – Q) Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?

A) In 5–10 years, I see Octivo as a global leader in digital learning. Genesis and Cosmos will be empowering creators worldwide to launch their own academies, courses, and learning communities—without friction.

12 – Q) Excluding yours, what company or business do you admire the most?

A) I admire Notion for its simplicity, design thinking, and community-first approach. They’ve turned a utility product into a movement.
