A. The business is located in Orange County and provides glass tips on a national basis.

Q. What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
A. A few years ago I personally witnessed positive results in smoking joints. Besides known as a recreational product, I found by using it at the end of my workday it relaxed me, and my mind from working long hours. This gave me the idea to provide a product that would make smoking healthy with glass filter tips vs traditional tips.
Q. What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
A. Look for something you have a passion for, then find in that passion what it is that you can do to improve that experience. Whether it’s a product like Glass Tips or a service you are offering.
Q. What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
A. Knowing your limitations and finding people that can fill in the areas you are not able to do. This means knowing accounting, how to manage people and know how to sell are the important skills to become successful.
Q. How many hours do you work a day on average?
A. It averages about 11 to 12 hours a day.
Q. To what do you most attribute your success?
A. The support of my family believing in my passion to start a business.
Q. How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
A. I continue to learn and try new marketing strategies and tactics. If you can afford it, try a couple of marketing ideas such as social media, direct mail before moving on and do too many things. Focus on what is working but continually update your campaign, don’t get stagnet.
Q. Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?
A. Personal funded.
Q. What is the best way to achieve long-term success?
A. Again I feel you need to know your weak areas and surround yourself with people smarter than you, but don’t let them think they are. Don’t micromanage, but always keep on top of their activities.
Q. Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?
A. Difficult question to answer since things are much different today than they were just a few months ago when the pandemic started.
Q. Excluding yours, what company or business do you admire the most?
A. I don’t have one company in mind, I prefer to keep learning from those that made mistakes vs successful companies. Yes, we can and I do learn from successful companies, but knowing what they did that didn’t work is a good teacher in business.
