Ans: Sana’a Cafe is an authentic Arabic coffee shop rooted in Yemeni tradition, serving communities across the Bay Area and California. We specialize in traditional Yemeni coffee and tea, prepared using time-honored methods and high-quality beans sourced from Yemen. Our spaces are designed to feel warm, welcoming, and culturally rich—where people can slow down, connect, and experience something deeper than just a cup of coffee. At Sana’a, love begins with coffee, and every cup tells a story. We are continuously growing our presence across California while staying true to our roots.

Ans: I come from an entrepreneurial background, but more importantly, from a culture where coffee is part of daily life, tradition, and identity. My journey started with a passion for sharing that experience with a broader audience. Over time, I developed the skills needed to turn that passion into a business—learning everything from sourcing and operations to branding and customer experience. One of my biggest achievements has been building Sana’a Cafe into a place where culture and community come together in a meaningful way across multiple locations.

Q 3. What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?

Ans: The idea came from a gap I saw in the market. While coffee shops are everywhere, very few truly represent the depth and heritage of Yemeni coffee culture. I wanted to create something authentic—something that doesn’t just serve coffee but tells a story through every cup. It was about preserving tradition while introducing it to a broader audience in a modern setting.

Ans: Stay patient—success takes longer than you expect.

Ans: Resilience, decision-making, and adaptability. Things rarely go as planned, so you have to stay flexible while keeping your long-term vision intact.

Ans: On average, 10–12 hours a day. When you’re building something from the ground up, it’s not really about hours—it’s about commitment.
