A. At Torgerson Auto Center, we specialize in providing used car buyers in Bismarck, Mandan, and Minot, North Dakota, with a big selection of dependable, pre-owned cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs, all at competitive market prices. Our used car dealership in Bismarck has a variety of inventory to choose from including both foreign and domestic models. In addition to quality pre-owned vehicles, Torgerson has a full-service auto repair shop with trustworthy and dedicated auto technicians. The auto repair and tire shop employs ASE-certified mechanics who provide everything from oil changes to brake replacement to engine repair. We also specialize in wheel alignments using our state-of-the-art Hunter Quick Check Drive system.

A. Jesse Moser, Dealer Primary
Jesse Moser has been in integral part of the Torgerson Auto Center dealership since it opened in 2010. He first begin working in the sales department and then moved into the Finance Manager role before becoming the Dealer Primary in 2019. Along with his sister, Chasiti Wanner, Jesse is committed to providing top quality used vehicles and auto repair services to Bismarck-Mandan and the surrounding communities. Jesse is a native of Bismarck, a graduate of the University of Mary.
Q. What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
A. Torgerson Auto Center & Auto Repair is a family owned business. It was started by Dennis and Bertie Torgerson who are still active owners of the business. Their children, Jesse Moser and Chasiti Wanner have worked in the family-owned business since 2010.
Q. What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
- Create a foundation and commitment to excellent customer service, with no hidden surprises.
- Understand your customers needs and focus on meeting those needs.
- Employee people you trust and who can represent your business positively.
Q. How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
A. We are proud to be part of the Bismarck-Mandan community and look for ways to support other businesses within the community. We know that a positive reputation will result in more recommendations and referrals into our business, which is a form of marketing that traditional advertising can’t buy.
