Our big rig is fully equipped for hot water pressure washing, water reclamation, water recycling, and soft washing.
We clean a variety of property types including houses, restaurants, office buildings parking lots, and apartment complexes. Surface materials that can be cleaned include concrete, limestone, sandstone, vinyl siding, painted siding, metal, and brick. Whether you need a single deep cleaning or regular cleanings, Six Solve has you covered.
2 – Q: Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
Ans: I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 with a Bachelors degree in civil engineering, and I obtained my professional engineering license in 2017. During the first eight years of my career, I practiced a variety of civil engineering disciplines while working for engineering firms. However, I have always had an interest in entrepreneurship, and I decided to start a power washing company.
3 – Q: What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
Ans: I have always been interested in entrepreneurship. The actual industry in which I started a business has never been important to me. Instead, I am interested in running a successful business and developing teams of outstanding employees. I have evaluated a wide range of business ideas, and I ultimately selected to pursue power washing because I believed there to be room in the market for high quality and environmentally friendly power washing services.
4 – Q: What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Ans: I am too new to entrepreneurship to give expert advice. However, I have learned various lessons along the way. First, setting expectations with customers is critical. Businesses should be very clear and direct with what their product or service can or cannot do. Failing to set expectations can result in disappointed customers, lost revenue, and negative reviews. Second, it is much better to admit to a customer that a particular result cannot be achieved rather than risking injury or property damage. In the power washing industry, damaging a customer’s property is much worse than letting the customer know that a certain surface cannot be cleaned safely. Third, capital is very valuable, and it is important to spend funds wisely. New businesses will receive many, many phone calls from other companies offering services and advertising opportunities. Businesses should fully evaluate any offer before deciding to move forward.
5 – Q: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Ans: Leadership, dedication, and integrity.
6 – Q: How many hours do you work a day on average?
Ans: This is difficult to answer. As the business owner, I work as needed and can step away when I chose. From some points of view, it appears that I work all the time since I can work on my phone or on a laptop whether I am at a restaurant, riding in a vehicle, or waiting for an appointment to begin. Conversely, I can go to the gym at 2:00 in the afternoon or take a Friday off with minimal notice. On average, I estimate I work 45 hours over the full seven-day week.
7 – Q: To what do you most attribute your success?
Ans: The long-term success of our business is yet to be proven. However, if we are successful in the long run, I will attribute much of our success to our company’s dedication to quality services and our commitment to employee satisfaction.
8 – Q: How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
Ans: I market our business through Google ads, networking, magazine ads, and post cards. Networking has been the most successful form of marketing.
9 – Q: Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?
Ans: I funded the business using personal savings and financing.
10 – Q: What is the best way to achieve long-term success?
Ans: I believe that the best way to achieve long-term success is by focusing on both customer and employee satisfaction.
11 – Q: Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?
Ans: I see our company offering a range of services in multiple cities. I picture myself guiding a team of business men and women who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business.
12 – Q: Excluding yours, what company or business do you admire the most?
Ans: I admire Buc-ee’s, a convenience store brand in Texas. Buc-ee’s is known for providing very clean restrooms, an expansive selection of food and drink, and an exceptional work environment for employees. I strive for our company to be the Buc-ee’s of the power washing industry.
