Q1: Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.
Ans:We just launched our business at the beginning of the year but I have worked in the Pest Control Industry for over a decade at some of the largest companies in the state. I saw firsthand how the larger companies were more interested in re-occurring revenue than doing what was best for the customers. I know once someone uses our services and meets our team members, they will see a difference. We opened our business in Ft Myers and serve both Lee and Collier Counties.
Q2:Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
Ans: As I stated, I have worked for several National Pest Control companies for over a decade and felt I could do better. I have partnered with another local experienced entrepreneur to start Pest Control with the plans to grow it to one of the premier companies in SW FL.
Q3: What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
Ans: I have been playing with the idea of opening my own company for a number of years but knew I didn’t have the entrepreneurial experience to make it successful right out of the gate. I met my business partner about 5 year ago and we have been planning our launch for the beginning of 2022.
Q4: What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Ans:1)Do your homework
2)Partner with people who have strengths in areas where you have

Q5: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Ans:1)Determination

Q6: How many hours do you work a day on average?
Ans: Tough question. I would say I work 10-12 hours a day.
Q7: To what do you most attribute your success?
Ans: A vision for the future. I have figured out in my life that I am more likely to achieve a result if I can picture what it looks like in my head. As a result having a vision for Pest Control Kings is critical.
Q8: How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
Ans:Since we are in the beginning stages of our start up, we are focused on building our reputation through the quality of our work. Word of mouth or personal referrals are our most effective form of marketing…and least expensive. We are also building our online presence and will leverage this to reach more Potential customers.
Q9: Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?
Ans: As I mentioned, I was very fortunate to partner with an experienced entrepreneur. He brought the funding and business acumen while I brought the industry experience. It’s a great partnership and we are excited about the future.
Q10: What is the best way to achieve long-term success?
Ans:Exceed your customer’s expectations daily. Today there are very few companies that actually do what they say they are going to do. Sad but true. We want to be a company that grows based upon the trust and loyalty of our customers.
Q11: Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?
Ans: Our goal is to be the premier pest control company in SW FL.
Q12: Excluding yours, what company or business do you admire the most?
Ans: I have been fortunate to know a couple of other business owners here in SW FL that are operating their companies like I want to operate mine. Elmer Edmonson at Diversified Plumbing Services and Alfredo Morris at AM Irrigation are two guys I really look up to.
Q13: How important have good employees been to your success?
Ans: They are the backbone of our entire company. We couldn’t deliver our great service without them.
Q14: How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?
Ans: I’m an idea guy so I have many ideas running around in my head at any time. I generally think through my ideas and then take the best to people I respect to help filter through or modify them. I then will implement or execute on them but understand I may need to pivot should the need arise.
Q15: What motivates you?
Ans: Making a difference and impacting the lives of others.
Q16: How do you generate new ideas?
Ans: Ideas for me come from all over. It could come from something that I have seen or maybe something I have read about that can be applied to my business.
Q17: How do you build a successful customer base?
Ans: Delivery consistently on our promises and listen to our customers.
Q18:What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Ans: Making my own decision and being able to see the immediate impact of my decisions.
