Ans : We are a video marketing company, more than that, we tell stories. As story architects, we craft images and sound in a unique style that evokes emotion and elicits action. We use design thinking and journalistic experience to capture an empathetic view that makes each story engaging and actionable. We spend time with our clients asking thoughtful questions to provide fresh perspective. We deliver outcomes that illustrate their unique value.

Q. Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).

Ans : The Joneses are former broadcast television news professionals with a combined 30 plus years experience. They have been nominated for Emmys for their work on a lifestyle television show. They’ve also been awarded by the Associated Press for Excellence in Journalism for stories at home and around the world.

Q. What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?

Ans : We wanted to help others grow their businesses by helping them tell their stories. After a combined 30 years in broadcast television we wanted to focus on telling good stories with a positive impact.

Q. What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?

Ans : Be passionate about your business, or don’t start it. Know your audience. Learn, Learn, and Learn more!

Q. What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Ans : Excellent Soft (Social) Skills. Humility, Work Ethic.

Q. How many hours do you work a day on average?

Ans : 10, including weekends.

Q.To what do you most attribute your success?

Ans : Work ethic. Knowing what we do best and sticking to it. Passion.

Q.How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?

Ans :Getting it right for every client, every time, is our most powerful marketing tool. We get most of our new business from referrals and past work.

Q.Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?

Ans :We made a small personal investment in the beginning.

Q. What is the best way to achieve long-term success?

Ans : Focus on your wheelhouse. Don’t diversify too much. Learn new approaches and techniques to sharpen your craft.

Q. Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?

Ans : Growing. Always Learning. Always Teaching. Collaborating with other passionate storytellers.

Q. Excluding yours, what company or business do you admire the most?

Ans : We love the storytelling from the BBC & National Geographic. These outlets spend the right amount of time and resources needed to deliver excellent human interest and nature stories.

Q. How important have good employees been to your success?

Ans :We do not have any full-time employees, but it is crucial that any freelancers we hire uphold the same business etiquette and highest quality of work that we do.

Q. How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?

Ans : As long as the idea continues to pound at our door. If we’re doing all the pursuing without any advancement of the idea, its time to let it go. Depending on the idea, it could be a day or months!

Q. What motivates you?

Ans :Producing video stories that inspire and move people!

Ans : Love our clients, have fun and enjoy our work.

Q. How do you generate new ideas?

Ans : Video storytelling comes in many diverse forms. We watch as much as we can, which inspires us to gain new, fresh ideas. We also keep up with new technology, and try to think of ways to make things better, more creative, or unique.

Q. How do you define success?

Ans : Making a difference for a client.

Q. How do you build a successful customer base?

Ans :  We listen to our clients.. We ensure our client’s experience with us is professional and friendly. We are always accessible to our clients. We make sure we understand who their audience is and always make sure they are not just satisfied with their product, but thrilled.

Q. What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

Ans : Determining our own projects, clients, and schedule. Knowing that all the success we gain is from the hard work we did!

Q. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

Ans : Every time we get a referral call because of our solid product and our strong work ethic.

Q. What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?

Ans : We feel in many cases entrepreneurs have a stronger work ethic a deeper dedication to  customer service and delivering top quality work.
