Kindly give readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.

Arizona Bike Week is an annual five-day event held at WestWorld in Scottsdale and consists of two primary components, Motorcycle Rally and Music Festival.

Give us a brief description of yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).

In 1997, Arizona Bike Week started as a small gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts, coming together to celebrate their passion for riding. It quickly began to take shape as an organized rally. Since purchasing the rights to Arizona Bike Week in late 2005, FX Promotions, Inc. has seen a steady increase in annual attendance. With the implementation of nightly concerts in 2006, attendance doubled. Continuing with that concept, the event has grown to become one of the largest rallies in the country. Although ABW is relatively still a youngster in the motorcycle rally realm, it rivals the attendance of events that have existed for eight or nine decades.

In 2004, Arizona Bike Week reported a meager audience of 12,000 but now draws an annual attendance of over 70,000. With the local biker community effectively captured, the majority of new growth is attributed to increased national attention and visitors from other states and countries. Additionally more and more local non-biker, music enthusiasts are making ABW an annual tradition for the massive concert lineups the event offers.

Arizona Bike Week has garnered rising media consideration. In addition to escalated coverage by most of the significant motorsports publications, ABW receives outstanding exposure from local TV, radio, print, and online media.

How did the idea for your business come about?

What makes you different from other businesses in your industry?

Best venue, best entertainment, best weather, best riding

To what do you most attribute your success?

ABW’s rapid growth is attributed to several factors:
 The Phoenix/Scottsdale area has a higher per capita rate of motorcycle owners than most regions in the country. City and state officials recognize the economic impact of the motorcycle community and the importance of keeping Arizona biker-friendly. This was exemplified during the state 2012 Centennial Celebration when a motorcycle (the Copper Chopper) was chosen as the official mascot of the Arizona Centennial.
 Arizona offers virtuously limitless scenic riding and excellent spring weather.
 With tourism being such a large component of the local economy, ABW receives strong support and cooperation from all local municipalities and law enforcement.
 The greater Phoenix/Scottsdale area provides the infrastructure required to support large events. Hotels, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment are all in abundance and local merchants welcome attendees with specials and discounted rates.
 ABW’s hub is Westworld. This pristine, 380-acre event park offers on-site tent and RV camping, abundant parking, both indoor and outdoor spaces, and has the capability of housing the event as it grows. Other events at WestWorld accommodate up to 250,000 visitors.
 ABW has acquired a unique demographic of elite riders. Attendees are typical of higher income than many other rallies and enjoy all the amenities Scottsdale has to offer. Vendors at the rally report high-volume sales.

What do you think is the best way to achieve long-term business success?

Offer top-notch entertainment at the lowest possible price. Listen to attendee’s feedback, apply changes annually, and keep growing and evolving
