Ans: My business was established in 2012, the business provides home inspection services for home buyers, home sellers, and individuals involved in the real estate industry. A home inspection is an evaluation of a residential structure up to 4 units. The results of the home inspection will inform the customer on the condition of the structure and the areas that need repair. The home inspection report can be used a guideline when consulting with various contractors that will give an estimate and complete the repairs. The total cost of all repairs can be used to negotiate the sell price of the property. My business services a 60-mile radius around Los Angeles County.
Q2: Please give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
Ans: I have been working in the construction industry for 22 years. I started working in commercial building maintenance, then a transitioned to a residential home construction. After that I entered the home inspection industry. I have been worki9ng as the primary home inspector for 9 years. I have over 55 educational certificates from 3 major home inspection associations and additional home inspection schools. I am a certified home inspector with International Association of Certified Home inspectors, and I am a Master Certified Home inspector with Certified Home Inspectors. I am a Licensed General Building Contractor with the State of California. I have an associate degree in Construction Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Construction Project Management.
Q3: What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business?) How did the idea for your business come about?
Ans: I realized that I would be a great home inspector when I discovered how versatile my construction background was. I realized that my construction background did not specialize in one specific area of construction. This made it difficult for me to work in only one trade. But it made me perfect for a home inspector position because the home inspector evaluates all trades of construction.
Q4: What three pieces of advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Ans: The three pieces of advice that I would give to an aspiring entrepreneurs would be to first obtain all the necessary education in your specific area, second find good, qualified people to work with and partner with, and third enjoy what you do and stay dedicated to your craft.
Q5:What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Ans: The top three skills needed to become a successful entrepreneur are accounting skills, marketing skills, and computer skills.

Ans: I work 10 hours per day on average.

Ans: My success is attributed to my strong work ethic.
Q8:How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
Ans: I only market my business all online and my most effective marketing form is on Google AdWords.
Q9: Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?
Ans: I saved my own money for several years before I started my business. I did not use any investors.

Ans: The best way to achieve long term success is to keep growing your business, maintain a good reputation, and secure high-quality partnerships.

Ans: My business will continue to grow, hire new home inspectors, and will become and multi-inspector firm soon.

Ans: The company that I admire the most is Murcia Group. This is a real estate development company building affordable townhomes for low income families, giving people the opportunity to own real estate instead of just renting.
