Q 1.Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.
Ans: Flying V Group Digital Marketing helps business owners grow their business by using online marketing strategies. Our goal is to provide incredible customer service AND results that fix our client’s lack of online exposure, traffic, and leads. We pride ourselves on becoming partners with our clients and helping them grow into everything they have ever imagined. Our Headquarters are located in Irvine, CA and we also have an office in Tempe, AZ, but we service clients across the entire United States and internationally.
Q 2.Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
Ans: My name is Robb Fahrion and I am one of the co-founders and partners in Flying V Group. I have always been entrepreneurial in spirit, but Flying V Group is my first legitimate entrepreneurial venture after dabbling in some other side projects. I graduated from Chapman University in Orange, CA with a degree in business administration and marketing and a minor in Communications. I previously worked in the tech and finance fields for a couple of different start-ups.
My greatest achievements comes from the success the team at Flying V Group has had over our short period of existence. More importantly, I share in the enjoyment of helping our clients grow their business and we have had so many successful partnerships that have helped our clients grow and that is what I am most proud of as a partner in Flying V Group. It is all about the WE and not the me.
Q 3.What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
Ans: I never actually planned to start a business like Flying V Group. I started taking on side-projects from some people in my network and realized that I could turn those side projects into a legitimate business venture.
The goal of Flying V Group has always been to help our clients grow and that is what inspires us each and every day. We get excited waking up every single morning knowing that we are helping others grow their dream businesses.
Q 4.What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Ans: I would tell budding entrepreneurs to never say no to an opportunity until you have fully vetted it, be creative in finding ways to cut costs and maximize the value of the costs you do have, and don’t tell anyone that you can’t do something. There is always the opportunity to figure it out or find someone that can get it done for your client. Remember, your job is to always please your customer and find ways to solve their problems.
Q 5.What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur? Entrepreneurs need to be fearless, creative, and spontaneous.
Ans: Fearless because every single day is unknown and starting out can be scary, but you cannot let that affect you. Creativity helps to uncover new ways to win. Being spontaneous is important because you always have to be ready to do something that you were not expecting to do, but that’s the fun part!
Q 6.How many hours do you work a day on average?
Ans: I normally get into the office around 7:45 or 8 and work until 6 or 7pm, but I am always available via email or text message. My clients are always working, which is why I am too. I encourage clients to reach out and call me at any time. Our team at Flying V Group works harder than anyone in the business though, bar none. The team impresses me every single day with how genuinely happy and inspired they are to help our clients!
Q 7.To what do you most attribute your success?
Ans:I most attribute our success to the ability to be creative and open to every opportunity that presents itself. We never say no until we have looked at whether there might be a benefit for our clients or to Flying V Group. We also find ways to get things done and show incredible results.
Q 8.How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
Ans:The beauty of our business is that we USE the exact same methods that we sell as services to our clients. The same website design, SEO, PPC, social media, and content marketing strategies that we use for our clients are the ones that we use for ourselves.
I would say that the most successful form of marketing for us has been our website and the SEO and content marketing strategies that we have used along side of it. Our website is a 24/7 sales generator for our business and is one of the faces of our company. We have spent a lot of time and money working to optimize our website and creating effective content that drives traffic to the site.
Q 9.Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?
Ans:Flying V Group is a firm that was started with ZERO outside funding/capital. We decided to bootstrap the company and it was the best decision we have ever made. We currently operate with zero debt and truly understand the value of the dollar. Going this route also helped us to find the best ways to maximize each and every dollar we spent on things like marketing and operating costs.
Q 10.What is the best way to achieve long-term success?
Ans:The best way to achieve long-term success is to be consistent, honest, and knowledgeable. Be consistent in the ways that you speak and write. Always tell the truth. Find ways to become an expert in your field and don’t be afraid to share that knowledge with others!
Q 11.Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?
Ans:I see myself continuing to manage and run Flying V Group with my partners, Brennan Smith and Tyler Fahrion, and I hope that Flying V Group is one of the most successful digital marketing firms in the United States and is able to employ even more incredible people and create an amazing and prosperous experience for our clients.
Q 12.Excluding yours, what company or business do you admire the most?
Ans:I really admire some of my competitors that have done an incredible job of lasting in this extremely competitive field. Some of those guys include Disruptive Advertising, Directive Consulting, and Gigasavvy. We have learned a lot from their professionalism and are happy to work in the same industry as these amazing companies.

Q 13.How important have good employees been to your success?
Ans:Employees are lifeblood of any company. A company is nothing without the employees. The employees are the ones that are the most important part. They are like the engine in a car, without it, the car is worthless.
Q 14.How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?
Ans:This is a great question. At Flying V Group, we stick with things until it is evident that what we are trying to do is not working. That does not mean that we will continue to beat our head against the wall, but we will always put our best foot forward if we think the idea or strategy has legitimate merit.
Q 15.What motivates you?
Ans:My clients. Each and every client we work with is so unique and has their own incredible story. It is always incredible to hear how clients got to a certain point and the challenges that came along with it. Seeing their success motivates us to have our own success, which will allow us to continue to help other businesses.
Q 16.What are your ideals?
Ans:My ideals align with our ideals as a company. We put others ahead of ourselves and are always working for the best interests of our clients. Our job is to not only provide services, but to also consult clients on strategies that might or might not be effective for their business. It’s always about the WE and not the ME.
Q 17.How do you generate new ideas?
Ans:Through experiences. You have to experience things in order to come up with new ways of handling things or coming up with new and usable ideas. Without experience our ideas are not really based in anything.
Q 18.How do you define success?
Ans:Are you happy? If you are, you’re successful. It is impossible to truly define success because it is so subjective. So, what makes you happy? Go do that and you will be successful.
Q 19.How do you build a successful customer base?
Ans:In order to build a successful customer base, you need to be humble, admit when you are wrong, and work hard to show your customer that you will do anything to help them get to their end goal and beyond. Happy customers are normally the ones that you communicate with often and feel that you have their best interests in mind.
Q 20.What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

Q 21.What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Ans:The most satisfying moment in business was when I received an unsolicited call from a customer that just wanted to thank our firm for the work we did. It was truly gratifying and the appreciation they showed us reminded me why we do the work that we do.
Q 22.What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?
Ans:Entrepreneurs aren’t much different than those who work for someone else. A lot of times, employees have very entrepreneurial mindsets, but they might not have been in a situation to actually become an entrepreneur. I don’t think there is much difference. We are all problem solvers.
Q 23.What kind of culture exists in your organization? How did you establish this tone and why did you institute this particular type of culture?
Ans:We work hard and we have fun. We love challenges and are always looking forward to the next one. Our team is excited to compete for our clients and get them the results they are looking for from our firm.
We didn’t do anything in particular to instill this culture. The culture has just been formed over the years with the effort and work we have put in to making this company what it is today.
In one word, characterize your life as an entrepreneur. Fun
