Q 1.    Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.

Ans:    Renovate TB is a home remodeling company specializing in kitchen, flooring and flooring renovations. We pride ourselves in working as a concierge service for our customers by providing samples of materials and designs in the comfort of their own home.

Q 2.    Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).

Ans:    Brian Rogers was proudly born and raised in Tampa, FL. He selflessly joined the military when he graduated high school because he wanted to serve and protect our country right after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Shortly after, he found a passion for remodeling at 21 years old when he remodeled his first home and he hasn’t stopped since. Brian began his college education after serving 8 years in the military. While earning his degree in biomedical sciences, he also continued to develop his passion by helping his mother renovate his childhood home. He also took on a sales position at Laminate City to learn and earn experience in residential renovations. When he graduated from USF without any student loan debt, he decided not to go to medical school and acquire debt. This prompted him to partner with an established home remodeling company to gain more experience and he focused on aspects of the business he wanted to excel in. Brian had gain enough confidence and knowledge to start his own home remodeling business and that is how Renovate Tampa BAy was born!

Q 3.    What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?

Ans:    Brian Rogers found a passion for remodeling at 21 years old when he remodeled his first home and he hasn’t stopped since.

Ans:    1. Work hard, be dedicated and passionate about your business.
2. Be mindful of your business’ financial needs/goals.
3. Establish great relationships with other businesses/entrpreneurs.

Q 5.    What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Ans:    Work hard, be dedicated and passionate about your business.

Ans:    10-12

Ans:    The military embedded core values of integrity; customer before self, excellence in all we do.

Q 8.    How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?

Ans:    Free advertising (craigslist) and word of mouth.

Q 9.    Where did your organization’s funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?

Ans:    Self made money.

Q 10.    What is the best way to achieve long-term success?

Ans:    Enjoy what you do.

Ans:    Building a brand with value to sell.

Ans:    Extremely important in building a brand and establishing trust with our customers.

Ans:    Until it is not profitable or possible.

Ans:    Money. Being someone people and other businesses look up to.

Ans:    Having hard work, dedication and perfectionism with everything i do.

Through obstacles I encounter on a daily basis. Also by brainstorming with others and other businesses.

Ans:    Being able to enjoy life and love yourself and others. And making enough money to retire on.

Ans:    Great communication, professionalism, honesty and core values. Always remember the customer name and being personable with them.

Q 20.    What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

Ans:    Creating something from the ground up and watching it grow.

Q 21.    What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

Ans:    Seeing how happy my customers are when they see the great renovation in their home.

Q 22.    What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?

Ans:    We tend to be more motivated and self driven. We also have better ideas and the drive to put those ideas into action.

Ans:    Rewarding.

Q 24.    If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

Ans:    Saved more money in order to have more capital but overall I am happy with my life.

Ans:    I have more time with family.
