Q. Please give us an introduction to your business.
Ans : Ensunet is a world-class provider of IT enterprise architecture solutions, specializing in post-merger integration in the lightning-paced, no-margin-for-error world of M&A. We have supported more than $4 billion in pre- and post-merger IT planning, due diligence, and integration, including staffing projects throughout the United States, Central America, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Q. Kindly give us a brief description about yourself, and your experience.
Ans : I am founder and CEO of Ensunet Technology Group, a San Diego-based world-class provider of IT enterprise architecture solutions, specializing in post-merger integration in the lightning-paced, no-margin-for-error world of M&A. Additionally, I am a certified NLP trainer. My certification as an NLP trainer has helped me to empower my team, build client relationships, and achieve goals.
Q. What inspired you to begin Ensunet Technology Group? How did the idea for your business come about?
Ans : It was in my first IT role; that’s where I got my first taste of mergers and acquisitions. The company I worked for was itself merged with another. What a first-hand introduction to the world of M&A! This was in 2007. The very next year, I struck out on my own and founded Ensunet.
Q. Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Ans : Looking back, it’s easy to see that the drive for entrepreneurship came from my family. It was already in my genes. My great grandfather was the pastor at one of the first African American churches in San Diego and my grandmother, born in 1916, was a self-taught real estate investor. My mother holds a PhD and my father is U.S. Olympic legend Arnie Robinson, who brought home both Bronze and Gold medals from Munich and Montreal, respectively. I come from a family of driven, motivated, successful people, so I understood the importance of this drive at a young age.
Q. Please tell us about the early stages of Ensunet as the company was getting launched.
Ans : Ensunet’s beginnings were humble, but we quickly grew. Parlaying relationships I built over the years, not to mention ancillary experience in sales and commercial investment real estate, I was able to grow the business, and its contracts. By 2010, the company was growing in size, billing, and headcount, well on its way to becoming the IT powerhouse for post-merger integration and enterprise architecture that it is today. My certification as an NLP trainer has helped me to empower my team, build client relationships, and achieve goals, as well.
Q. What philosophy do you share as the leader of Ensunet?
Ans : My Olympian father once told me that he wasn’t able to rise to the world stage until he surrounded himself with world-class competitors; today, I follow a similar philosophy as a leader of Ensunet. My job is to build the “stadium,” and fill it with the best players in the game.
