1 – Q) Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business. Please include what your business is all about, in which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple locations/ cities.
A) Floors Reborn is an Epoxy Coating and Concrete Polishing company that specializes in resurfacing concrete for indoor, outdoor, residential, and commercial use. We are located in Tulare and Bakersfield, and service mainly Central California spanning from Kern County, Tulare County, Kings County, and Fresno County.
2 – Q) Kindly give us a brief description about yourself (it should include your brief educational or entrepreneurial background and list some of your major achievements).
A) I am an entrepreneur who has and currently owns several businesses, I have a degree in business administration, hold my contractors license, and I am also a business consultant.
3 – Q) What inspired you to (start a new business venture) or (to make significant changes in an existing business)? How did the idea for your business come about?
A) I owned a cleaning franchise and wanted to get more into floor care and floor restoration, so I started looking into decorative concrete and had some friends and acquaintances that were in the industry. I ended up doing my research, went through training, and decided to jump into it! It just seemed like a great opportunity as more and more people were moving away from carpet and tile.
4 – Q) What three pieces of advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
A) Know your numbers! Make sure you understand what your margins are and other important ratios! Cashflow is king! Ensure you always have reserves and are retaining more than you’re spending. Lastly, have systems in place to help you manage and scale your business.
5 – Q) What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
A) Leadership, knowledge and passion in what you’re doing, and a basic understanding of how to leverage systems.
6 – Q) How many hours do you work a day on average?
A) 60 hours

A) Hard work, dedication, discipline, and surrounding myself with the right team.
8 – Q) How do you go about marketing your business? What has been your most successful form of marketing?
A) I market on social media and mainly online, after the first few year word of mouth and referrals started to come through. Social media has been really well to us, especially Instagram.
9 – Q) Where did your organizations funding/capital come from and how did you go about getting it? How did you obtain investors for your venture?
A) My own capital was the initial investment. After that I just leverage small revolving lines to help with cash flow and large jobs when needed.
10 – Q) What is the best way to achieve long-term success?
A) Systems, the right type of leadership, and once again knowing your numbers!
11 – Q) Where you see yourself and your business in 5 – 10 years?
A) In several more locations, doubling or even tripling in revenue.

A) Contracting businesses in general I respect and always admire.
