Q1: Kindly give our readers an introduction to your business please include what group is all about and which city you are located and if you have offices in multiple in cities?

Ans: We are a local family owned roofing service company with roots in southwest Florida for over 20 years. We service all types of roofs from the smallest roofing repair to the largest roofing project. Roof Design & Sheet Metal focuses on our local customers relying on word of mouth, references, and our superior quality to drive our Southwest Florida roofing company business.

Q2: Kindly give us a brief description about yourself?

Ans: I have worked hands on at every level of roofing from the smallest repair to the largest commercial projects. I am not simply just a business owner, I am a roofer at the truest nature and have done all levels of the work we do myself in the field for many years.

Q3: What inspired you to start a new business venture?

Ans: I saw a man that I looked up to create something for his family were many of his family members worked within the company and prospered emotionally, mentally, and financially and I wanted to create something that for my family

Q4: What three pieces of advice would you give to a budding entrepreneur?

Ans:

  1. Know the most important thing is to do the next right thing.
  2. Know the business you are creating.
  3. Know you can’t do it alone build a team.

Q5: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Ans:

  1. Drive
  2. Dedication
  3. Integrity

Q6: How many hours do you work a day on average?

Ans: 12

Q7: To what do you most attribute your success?

Ans: I try to always do the right thing regardless of financial gain or loss!

Q8: How do you go about marketing your business?

Ans: I don’t I completely rely on references and word of mouth.

Q9: Where did your organization funding capital come from and how did you go about getting it?

Ans: I am completely self made.

Q10: What is the best way to achieve long-term success?

Ans: I learned a long time ago that life is full of taking three steps forward and two back, moving forward isn’t always the path.

Q11: Where do you see yourself and your business in 5 to 10 years?

Ans: I don’t, I allow my business to grow organically and it will take me where it needs to by staying loyal to my intentions and motives.

Q12: Excluding yours what company or business do you admire the most?

Ans: I admire a number of companies at certain points of their growth and expansion.

Q13: How important have good employees been to your success?

Ans: Good employees are the most important part of success.

Q14: How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?

Ans: I follow through with ideas until they fail.

Q15: What motivates you?

Ans: What motivates me is building something for my family.

Q16: What are your ideals?

Ans: My ideals are in honesty and integrity and truthfulness.

Q17: How do you generate new ideas?

Ans: I generate new ideas through prayer.

Q18: How do you define success?

Ans: Define success by what creates my character.

Q19: How do you build a successful customer base?

Ans: I build a successful customer base by making each one of them the most important and doing the right thing by each one of them.

Q20: What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

Ans: My favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur is to create something I can leave behind my life for my family.

Q21: What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

Ans: My most satisfying moment and business is when a customer shows true gratefulness for what we have done for them.

Q22: What do you feel is the major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else?

Ans: The major difference between entrepreneurs and those who work for someone else is drive and dedication.

Q23: What kind of culture exists in your organization?

Ans: The culture in our organization is joyfulness and happiness and success regardless of pitfalls.

Q24: In one word, characterize your life as an entrepreneur?

Ans: One word that characterizes me as an entrepreneur is “grateful”.

Q25: If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

Ans: If I had a chance to start my career over again I would do not very much differently. It took me everything to get to the point where I am today.

Q26: How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?

Ans: Being an entrepreneur has not affected my family life very much as I make that number one.

Q27: What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?

Ans: My greatest fear is I inadvertently lose contact with God.

Q28: How did you decide on the location for your business?

Ans: The location of my business came from years of working an industry in southwest Florida.

Q29: Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur?

Ans: I believe the pattern to becoming successful is learning your business from the inside out working from the bottom to the top, and then being capable to work at the bottom again.

Q30: If you could talk to one person from history, who would it be and why?

Ans: If I could talk to one person in history it would be Jesus Christ without a doubt.

Q31: Who has been your greatest inspiration?

Ans: My greatest inspiration has been one of my clients who has built a business for and with his family.

Q32: What book has inspired you the most? (OR what is your favorite book?)

Ans: The Bible and stare inspires me.

Q33: What are some of the biggest mistakes you’ve made?

Ans: I don’t know if I’ve made too many mistakes that I have not learned from so they all had their purpose.

Q34: How can you prevent mistakes or do damage control?

Ans: I prevent mistakes and damage control by planning as much as possible.

Q35: What are your hobbies? What do you do in your non-work time?

Ans: When I’m not working I’m traveling.

Q36: What makes you happy?

Ans: My family makes me happy!

Q37: What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?

Ans: I don’t know of any sacrifices I have made but I’m sure there’s been a few it’s just not what I focus on.
